Mission Shares

Through our Mission Share Benevolence giving, we participate in mission and ministry all over the world. We can do far more as part of the United Methodist connection than we could ever dream of doing as a congregation.

We designate a tithe (10%) of all offering plate income to Mission Shares and also 10% of all fundraising monies. On the third Sunday of each month we set aside a mission moment to highlight one example of Mission Share-supported ministry.

“Extra Mile” Offering Sunday

On the third Sunday of each month, folks are invited to make an “Extra Mile” offering (beyond their regular offering to the church) designated for Mission Share Benevolences. Some people choose to put a quarter in a jar for each meal they eat. Others may choose to forgo dining out once a month to contribute the amount they would have spent. Others may simply save up their loose coin. What may seem like merely pennies adds up to life-changing, life-saving missions all over the globe as we put our offerings together with those of our sister churches throughout the United Methodist connection!
